RWPGM Depute Brother Gordon Sewell lead a deputation of 26 brethren on the annual visit to Lodge Stirling Royal Arch No. 76 on Monday 25 September 2017. At the end of the meeting Brother William "Geronimo" Reid P.M. was presented with a framed musical score of a tune compiled specially for him by Brother Barry Bryce P.M. This tune entitled 'Willie Reid's welcome to 76' will in future be played at the reception and departure of visitors to the Lodge. The odd cry of "Geronimo" may however still be heard.

Presentation to Rett UK

The magnificent sum of £910.00 raised at the Reigning Masters’ Degree held in Lodge Stirling Royal Arch No. 76 on Friday 24 April 2015 and subsequently augmented to £1,000.00 by Provincial Grand Lodge was presented to a representative from Rett UK in Lodge No. 76 on Wednesday 27 May 2015. It was particularly poignant that the representative was Brother Martin McGhie (771), son of the late Brother Freddie McGhie PPGSW (PM 771). Brother Martin’s beautiful daughter Alana is afflicted by Rett syndrome and both he and his wife Sharon work to raise funds to support research into the disorder. Brother Martin and his family were delighted to receive the donation from RWPGM Brother Andrew A. McKinnon.

The picture shows the RWPGM, Brother Martin McGhie and his family, Commissioned Office-bearers and a few of the Lodge Masters who took part in the Reigning Masters’ Degree.

On the 28th September 2012 the Secretary Bro. Jimmy Fisher PM travelled to Lodge Tarbolton No.135 to present Brother John Weir with his 50 year diploma as a Mason! John was initiated on the 4th of September 1961 and affiliated to Lodge St.James (Kilwinning) Tarbolton No.135 in Ayrshire in 1970. Jimmy and John are shown here with his diploma which was presented by RWPGM Bro. Archibald Chalmers. John was also presented with a 250th anniversary Jewel on behalf of the Lodge by Jimmy. A large crowd of Brethren turned up to see the presentation as John is well thought of in the Ayrshire area. On the evening John was wearing Bro. Jimmy Wingate's apron, who was Master of Lodge 76 in 1949! Well done John on attaining this achievement. (Lodge 135 is the Lodge of Brother Robert Burns!)
